About the Artists

Boxx the Artist is a self-taught visual artist and has a dual degree from Purdue University and studied Mass Communication, African American Studies, and Entrepreneurship. She worked in corporate marketing before transitioning to become a full-time artist. Boxx’s visual artwork uses acrylic, digital, and mixed mediums to capture different elements of life from the African diaspora.

JayAmi Sellers is an emerging Indianapolis artist who practices in abstract cultural art in the form of paintings, apparel, and creative decor. JayAmi loves to produce work that heals, confronts taboo topics, endorses positivity and raises awareness of unspoken traumas. Since 2014 JayAmi has held art exhibits, illustrated the cover for “The Esther Effect,” and has illustrated and co-authored a book entitled “Four Letter Word.”
